Printre picturile lui Rafael se regasea si portretul Joannei de Aragon. Pe atunci (si nu numai atunci) imi placea figura ei delicata de femeie copil, cu piele galbuie, ochi negri adanci si rochie fastuoasa. Se pare ca lucrarea nu apartine in intregime lui Rafael, ci a fost executata de un elev care a urmat sfaturile si schitele maestrului sau.</span></p>

Cu autoportrete este insa altceva.. Jan Steen, spre exemplu s-a infatisat cu o autoironie demna de toata stima, in mai multe scene de gen, pe post de mesean vesel si cherchelit. Rembrandt s-a reprezentat sobru, invaluit intr-un clar-obscur special. <b>Albrecht Durer</b> a realizat insa ceva ce ma misca de fiecare data cand remarc ca e prezent intr-un tablou: senzatia de privirea ascutita, constienta, lucida in viitor. Poate ca toti pictorii din lume au vizat nemurirea si faima, dar unele portrete par a fi adevarate &#8220;ferestre spre viitor&#8221;. Din punctul meu de vedere, pentru ca nu stiu cat de multi ar fi de acord cu mine, autoportretul lui din 1500, la 28 de ani, este o astfel de fereastra. Inscriptia -  &#8220;<i>Albertus Durerus Noricus / ipsum me proprijs sic effin / gebam coloribus aetatis / anno XXVIII</i> ,Thus I, Albrecht Durer from Nuremberg, painted myself with indelible colors at the age of 28 years&#8221; - nu face decat sa accentueze senzatia de salt in timp si prezenta uluitoare a pictorului in contemporan, langa noi. Indelible colors&#8230; De nesters&#8230; Poate ca figura de Christ e prea indrazneata, cu pozitia mainii, a degetelor, aducand a binecuvantare&#8230; Totusi, ce privire patrunzatoare si constienta de traseul sau de 500 de ani distanta&#8230;</span></p>

<p><font size="2" face="Arial">Portretele vechi, olandeze, au un aer aparte. Misterul pe care il degaja, expresia serena a personajelor, neobisnuitul hainelor si podoabelor din acele vremuri, le confera o amprenta inconfundabila. In portretul Mariei Portinari negrul adanc confera chipului luminozitate iar colierul, atat de frumos lucrat, ii adauga eleganta. </font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial">Tabloul face parte dintr-un triptic, din care numai portretele celor doi soti s-au pastrat (Tomaso Portinari si Maria Portinari). Pictura a fost comandata cu ocazia casatoriei lor si dovedeste aprecierea de care se bucura arta olandeza in Italia.</font></p>

Tabloul impresioneaza prin aura de discretie si eleganta nobiliara a personajului si senzatia de irealitate. Vestimentatia deosebita a fetei se crede a fi de provenienta franceza. Privirea serioasa, din coltul ochilor, atenta, contrastul intre rece si cald (tonurile de roz ale chipului si cele intunecate din restul compozitiei), creeaza o atmosfera speciala si esti tentat sa te opresti putin, macar cateva clipe, pentru a intelege cine este si din ce lume provine personajul care te urmareste din imaginea imprimata pe panza&#8230;</span> </font><span style="color:#c0c0c0;font-family:trebuchet ms;"><font color="#ffffff">O opinie interesanta gasita pe net: </font></span></font><font color="#ffffff"></font><font color="#ffffff"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><span style="color:#c0c0c0;"><font color="#ffffff">&#8220;Another Flemish masterpiece, this time by Petrus Christus. &#8216;Portrait of a Young Girl&#8217; was painted around 1460, and almost certainly influenced Vermeer&#8217;s famous &#8216;Girl with a Pearl Earring&#8217;. All the reproductions show that the paint is now heavily cracked, but I can&#8217;t help imagining how beautiful it must have been originally, with the skin perfectly smooth and the colours &#8211; especially the blue of her dress &#8211; more vibrant. I like the simplicity of the composition, but above all I like the sulky, impassive expression on the girl&#8217;s face. Her averted gaze seems to mask a whole range of feelings &#8211; boredom, sadness, suspicion, dreaminess, reserve, self-consciousness; all the conflicting emotions we experience as we pass through the uncertainties of adolescence into adulthood. And I think this is exactly what girls today look like at that stage in their lives. Dar, vorba cuiva, mai bine sa astepti, decat sa nu ai pe cine astepta. Asa ca imi descarc frustrarile scriind tot felul de lucruri. As vrea aici sa incep si sa termin cu arta, dar ma tem ca am sa alunec spre ce ma doare pe mine. Totusi, hai sa incerc.</p>
<p align="justify"> Mica mea incursiune in lumea picturii a plecat de la un portret care ma fascineaza si in prezent, semnat de Rogier van der Weyden. Cred ca l-am descoperit intamplator, nu mai stiu, dar efectul a fost decisiv. Desi nu este cel mai valoros tablou al sau, a reusit sa ma impresioneze profund. Acum ceva timp scriam despre portret:</p>

<p align="justify"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">&#8220;Sunt multe tablourile care imi plac, dar in mod special sensibilitatea mea a fost atinsa de un portret de acum 500 si ceva de ani. Nu se stie exact numele modelului, dar in mod evident este de origine nobila. Desi se &#8221;odihneste&#8221;, spiritul personajului transcede timpul si prezenta ei emana parfumul unei epoci apuse, dar nu moarte. Privirea e concentrata intr-un punct invizibil, ca si cand doamna ar evita discret si timid sa priveasca departe in timp la cei ce o vor admira. Criticii de arta afirma ca simplitatea hainelor, ce se identifica intens cu fundalul, concentreaza atentia asupra chipului, efect subliniat si de voalul in V, care ii acopera parul si conduce privirea. </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></p>
<div align="justify">Simplu reprezentat in cea mai mare parte, tabloul prezinta totusi un singur element ce se sustrage acestei reguli: catarama cordonului rosu, cu motive incrustate, realizata in cele mai fine amanunte. Privirea coborata, buzele usor tensionate, nervozitatea mainilor &#8211; imi spunea cineva ca par a fi mai multe degete decat in realitate &#8211; exprima un nivel ridicat de concentrare, in contradictie cu atitudinea rigida, controlata si formalitatea vesmintelor. Rezultatul remarcabil al lui van de Weyden este reprezentarea unei &#8221;austeritati pasionate&#8221;. Se considera totusi ca imaginea este usor idealizata, fara a nega frumusetea naturala a persoanei.</div>

<div align="justify"><em>Delicatete, emotie si mister&#8230; asa as caracteriza in putine cuvinte impresia pe care o emana portretul.</em></div>

<div align="justify"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Ce apreciez in mod special la un tablou sunt fisurile fine ale vopselei. Nu numai ca vorbesc depre timp, dar efectul lor fragmentar mi se pare deosebit si particular doar acestei arte. </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">(Pentru a nu se produce confuzii, sursa de inspiratie si informare o reprezinta National Gallery of Art, acolo unde se afla si pictura, alte cateva articole de pe net la care am adaugat propriile mele impresii.)</span></div>

<p align="justify"><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">PS: </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Tot privind la doamna lui van der Weyden am obseravt ceva: mainile par a fi sprijinite de rama tabloului si nu de un obiect din pictura insasi&#8230; Interesant! <a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_PhQ6s58st0A/ReSNLpuJkWI/AAAAAAAAAC4/w9a_hdlVBmw/s1600-h/smile.gif"><img border="0" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_PhQ6s58st0A/ReSNLpuJkWI/AAAAAAAAAC4/w9a_hdlVBmw/s320/smile.gif" style="cursor:hand;" /></a> Pozitia lor si a bratului, cel putin din punctul meu de vedere, ar fi fost diferita daca s-ar fi sprijinit pe o masa sau un alt obiect. Mi-ar fi placut sa aflu mai mult despre asta.&#8221;</span> </p>
